Bayou Air Co.: a Houston AC repair website concept
A studio concept for a fictional Houston AC company. We designed a bold, mobile-first homepage around one job: turning a no-cool emergency into a booked ticket, with a two-step scheduler, a sticky call bar, a Comfort Club band and financing beside the replacement pitch.

The brief
Bayou Air Co. is a fictional company. We invented it to show how we would approach a Houston AC contractor that sells repairs, replacements and humidity control, and lives or dies by summer call volume.
The brief we set ourselves was narrow. A homeowner with a warm house and a phone in their hand should understand three things within one screen: this company is local, it can come today, and booking takes less than a minute. Everything else on the page had to support the ticket, not compete with it.
We also wanted the site to carry the business model. Maintenance agreements help smooth out the shoulder seasons, so the Comfort Club needed real space on the homepage, not a link in the footer. Financing had to appear next to replacement, where the decision actually happens. You can see how we scope this kind of project on our HVAC website design page.
What we built
We started with the phone screen. The hero leads with a plain promise, two buttons and a trust row covering licence, rating, same-day service and financing. A sticky bottom bar keeps Call and Book within thumb reach on every scroll.
The scheduler is the centrepiece. Step one asks what is wrong in homeowner language, such as "AC not cooling" or "sticky, humid air". Step two shows arrival windows, with full slots struck through so the calendar feels live. In a real build we would connect it to the dispatch board in ServiceTitan or Housecall Pro via API, then send the confirmation and on-my-way texts automatically. That wiring is what our HVAC automations cover.
The art direction borrows from the Gulf Coast: deep bayou green, sand, and a signal orange reserved for anything that books. Condensed headlines are set big and heavy so they read at a glance. The illustration of a ranch house, condenser, service van and giant thermometer is flat vector, so it loads fast and never looks like stock photography.
Lower on the page, the Comfort Club band and the payment estimator give CSRs something to point to, reviews carry neighbourhood names, and the service area map lists the suburbs a Houston searcher actually types. For more on the market, see our Houston HVAC web design page.
The decisions that matter.
Two-step booking scheduler
Homeowners pick the problem, then an arrival window. Full slots show as struck through, so the calendar feels live and each booking arrives as a ready-to-dispatch ticket.
Sticky mobile call bar
Call and Book stay pinned to the bottom of every mobile screen, so a homeowner standing in a hot hallway never has to scroll back up to reach you.
Technician on-the-way card
The hero previews what happens after booking: assigned tech, van number and arrival estimate. It sells the speed promise before the visitor has even started to scroll.
Comfort Club band
A full-width orange band presents the maintenance plan with its perks and monthly price, giving agreements the same weight as repairs on the homepage.
Financing beside replacement
An example payment estimator sits next to the replacement pitch, with clear credit-approval wording, so monthly options become part of the decision rather than an afterthought.
- Call and booking rate from mobile visits
- Online bookings per 100 sessions in peak season
- Comfort Club sign-ups started from the homepage
- Financing applications started from replacement pages
